How much value do you put on your wedding photographs? Ask your self this question when hiring a professional wedding photographer.

When you get married the only things that will be left over after the big day will be your wedding dress, wedding shoes, wedding rings, the new husband and finally your wedding photographs.

So why do some people expect to high a wedding photographer for peanuts if you pay peanuts you will get a monkey and you would not let a monkey take your wedding photographs now would you?

Ask the photographer about what services he offers does he provide a choice of albums, framed prints, online print ordering, canvas, acrylics, professional re - touching. Is the photographer well known and can he provide an extensive portfolio for you to look through?

Does the photographer design and put the albums together for you by hand unlike most photographers who get another 3rd party to do the albums for them.

Will the photographer stay in touch with you leading up to the wedding day and consult with you each step of the way this will reassure you?

Some thing to think about when hiring your wedding venue in particular a church wedding. Make sure with the priest doing your wedding service what expectations you have on your wedding day regarding the wedding photographer.

Don't take it for granted the wedding photographer can go where he wants and take what ever photographs he wants. Some priests can and will ban photography during the wedding service. This is not a church guideline or any thing to do with the church this is down to the individual priests discretion.

So when you hire the church and make payment you and the church are entering into a legally binding contract. So make sure you make your expections known and what you want regarding access for the wedding photographer.

The last thing you want is for the photographer not be allowed to capture those moments.

When getting married the first things you will need to book with be the wedding photographer, wedding venue, wedding reception, wedding dress, wedding cars. These services especially the wedding photographer are usually booked 12 - 18 months in advance so book early to avoid disappointment.

This is your wedding day so enjoy it and make the most of it because before you know it, it will be all over in a flash.

Here are a couple of last minute pointers to help you have a fantastic day.

Take extra confetti for the photographer to make sure the infamous confetti shot is not missed.
